Dreambox letter from the school

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Crabapple Lane Elementary has purchased DreamBox Learning's Math Program, an online, Intelligent Adaptive Learning(tm) program that helps all students achieve better, faster math proficiency.

Your student can access DreamBox Learning from any computer, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using this link:    https://clever.com/in/fcboe

DreamBox is an online program - there's no software to download! All you need is a high-speed Internet connection and Adobe Flash. Adobe Flash is free and is included with many Internet browsers.

To access Dreambox at home, students will need to access the CLEVER single sign in link.

https://clever.com/in/fcboe (encourage schools/teachers to have available on web page or even email signature line).  This will prompt the students to enter their google account information.  Note:  If you experience sign on difficulties here (ie.your account information shows and doesn’t give you the option to enter in student user information), you may have to add a user to or log off of your browser and have students sign into the browser.

To access DreamBox on iPad, you will need to download the app. Students must go through your internet browser to the CLEVER single sign in, not through the app itself.  Students will be prompted to enter in their google account information.

Review your student's academic progress with a DreamBox Parent Account. (This must be done from a computer, not an IPAD) Please follow these steps to create your free Parent Account:

1. Go to https://clever.com/in/fcboe

2. Have your student login to their profile just as they would at school.

3. Click Setup Parent Access at the bottom of the page.

4. Follow instructions to create a new login and password.

5. Read Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

6. Click "Submit".

Log into your home account after set up:

1. Go to http://play.dreambox.com

2. Enter your email address and password.

3. To see student progress, click the "Parent Dashboard" button.

Dreambox Information

Dreambox is a new math computer program that the school is using. Dreambox may be assigned as homework some nights. It currently does not work on Ipads. Dreambox assignments are to be done without the use of pencil and paper. They must use the manipulatives on the website. Also, no one can help them with the assignments. This program will assess their knowledge of the standards as well as teach them. Dreambox will use your child's data to adjust their level as needed. Please let me know if your child won't be able to use it at home due to having an Ipad or other circumstances. They should not be on the "My Stuff" section as part of their homework. If they want to go to that section after their allotted Dreambox time, they can definitely do that.

Instructions for logging in at home:

1.Students need to access Chrome on their computers.  

2.Log into Chrome using their school specific login (2026lastname.firstname@mail.fcboe.org; password:first letter of the last name uppercase-second letter of their last name lowercase and their birthday ex: Fa02281991).

3.From that point, go to www.clever.com/in/fcboe 

4. Click on Dreambox.  If it doesn't automatically login, then use your school specific login to enter Dreambox.
