Comprehension Questions

Several parents have had questions about the comprehension questions that were homework over the weekend. The students have had these questions for 4 weeks and work on them everyday in class with me. Most of the questions should be completed by now. If they are not, they become homework. The students know that these are not for a grade. These are to help them prepare for the test over the book. The more they complete, the more they have to study with. Just know that these are only to help them study! A student will not be penalized for not completing them. :)

Book Fair is coming!!!

THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING!!!

Our class will be going on the 21st to preview the books that they will be able to purchase during the book fair.

They will be able to purchase books starting on the 23rd. We will go as a class and students will also be allowed to go on other days if they finish their work early.

Homework for 9/8/15

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend!

Here is the homework for tonight:

• Spelling: None- There will be no spelling this week since it is a short week. :)
• Math: Page 15 in the practice book. Students MUST use either the number line or expanded form method to solve the problem.
• Science: If your child made less than a 100 on their magnet test, he or she is encouraged to go back and rewrite the question and the correct answer on a piece of notebook paper for half credit back. They will be taking the magnet benchmark tomorrow and need to study. All students MUST bring back their test tomorrow.
• Social Studies: None

The students went to the library today and should have 2 new books to read, unless they renewed their books. We go every other Tuesday as a whole class. 

Homework for Labor Day weekend

There will be no homework for this weekend. Of course, I always encourage your child to read whenever possible! I hope you all have a safe and fun weekend! Don't forget, we do NOT have school on Monday.
